What TridentScan Does
TridentScan scans websites for common security misconfigurations โ things like missing headers, exposed files, weak SSL, and DNS issues. We check publicly visible configuration only. This is not a penetration test, not a complete security audit, and not a guarantee that your site is secure.
The One Rule
Only scan sites you own or have explicit permission to scan.
This isn't optional. Scanning someone else's site without permission may violate laws in your jurisdiction. We log scan requests and will cooperate with legal authorities if needed.
What You Can't Do
- Use scan results to attack or exploit vulnerabilities on sites you don't own
- Abuse the scanner with excessive automated requests
- Resell scan results as your own service
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls
We reserve the right to block any user or IP that abuses the service. No warnings required.
Free vs. Paid
The free tier gives you basic scans with rate limits. Paid tiers unlock more scans, monitoring, alerts, and longer report retention. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel anytime โ no tricks, no hidden fees.
Your Data
We do not store sensitive data from the sites you scan. We store the URL, the scan results, and metadata needed to generate your report. Free tier reports expire after 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
No Guarantees
TridentScan is provided "as-is." We do our best to find common issues, but we can't catch everything. A clean scan doesn't mean your site is bulletproof. We are not responsible for any actions you take (or don't take) based on scan results.
Use TridentScan as one tool in your security toolkit โ not the only one.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. We'll note the date at the top. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
